The Silk Road: China and Central Asia

By train along the Silk Road, from Beijing towards Almaty, through two countries Bike for Peace has long-standing ties with.

Being planned: The dates are Bike for Peace's own plan and have not been confirmed by the travel agency, and the route may change. Nothing is fixed yet.

The plan is a train journey from Beijing via Xi'an and onward along the Silk Road to Almaty in Kazakhstan. The route links two countries we have worked with over time: China, where we have sent several delegations, and Kazakhstan, which awarded Bike for Peace the Dostyk Order of Friendship in 2024.

Kazakhstan is a central example in our appeal. The country voluntarily gave up the world's fourth largest nuclear arsenal, and the Semipalatinsk test site was closed in 1991. What one country managed alone, the world can achieve together.
